Prior Information Notice: PSGW00262 | Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Training | Defence School Healthcare Education (DSHE), Defence Healthcare Education and Training (DHET)
Description
Knowledgepool is looking to appoint a provider to develop and deliver Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Training to our client Defence School Healthcare Education (DSHE), Defence Healthcare Education and Training (DHET)

Defence Mental Health Services have clinicians requiring high quality training in the key concepts and application of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. CBT is a core treatment in use with UK military psychological patients. The requirement is to provide this training over a 5 day period with a follow-up study day several weeks later. Three courses of 15 clinicians will be run each year over a three year contract.

The clinicians have extensive knowledge and experience in the field of Defence Mental Health and it is anticipated that this introductory CBT training will project them into further study and development of higher level CBT skills. The learning outcomes defined involve the clinicians developing sufficient insight into the basics of treating depressive illness and non-complex anxiety disorders to enable them to engage in low level CBT under appropriate clinical supervision.
